Show Notes Transcript

Every Friday, I share with you one principle that has inspired me.

In this episode, I share one principle by Jim Rohn: "The Pain of Discipline is better than the Pain of Regret."

In our daily life, we have to make multiple decisions daily. It becomes really hard when you don’t have any key points based on what you will make that particular decision. Our understanding of the world around us is largely shaped by the core principles we have accepted. Principles recognize what is true and help us apply truth to new or unknown situations. A good set of principles will enable us to make decisions quickly, even if our situation is completely new.

Principles Friday will help you share the principles of successful entrepreneurs, founders, and big thinkers.

Welcome to Principles Friday, where I share one principle that can help you in your life and business.

Today we have on the show Jim Rohn.

"The pain of discipline is better than the pain of regret.”

What an amazing principle.

Before we dive into the principle, For those who don't know, Jim Rohn was an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker. He was born in Yakima, Washington, and grew up in a farming family. Rohn's work focused on personal development, business success, and wealth-building, and he was known for his inspiring and practical teachings. Rohn's speeches and books emphasized the importance of personal responsibility, goal-setting, and self-discipline, and his teachings have inspired many people to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals.

According to Jim, We can either choose to discipline ourselves and work hard to achieve our goals, or we can choose to be undisciplined and suffer the consequences of our actions. If we choose the path of discipline, we will experience the pain of hard work, sacrifice, and self-control. However, this pain will lead to the reward of success, achievement, and personal growth.

On the other hand, if we choose the path of no discipline, we will suffer the pain of regret. This pain comes from not achieving our goals, not being able to reach our full potential, and from living an unfulfilling life. This pain can be much worse than the pain of discipline, as it is a pain of knowing that we could have done more, been more, and achieved more, but we chose not to.

Therefore, Jim Rohn's quote is a call to action, urging us to choose the path of discipline and hard work, even though it may be difficult so that we can avoid the pain of regret that comes from not living up to our full potential.

That concludes it for this Friday.

Remember: " The pain of discipline is better than the pain of regret "
